'So Shiny, So Chrome' takes place 13 years after The Fall, a combination of the Oil Wars that came to a climax with a nuclear event. Our setting is the Wasteland, once the Australian outback. Wildlife mutated by radiation prowls the wasteland; weather is harsh and highly unpredictable; roving gangs of survivors fight for what remains of precious resources.
What a day, what a lovely day.
----- Season: Winter Weather: Days 8°C/Nights -10°C
Winter has descended once again on the Wasteland as merciless as ever. Days are cold, and with little cover the high winds are all the more biting; even without snow, hypothermia and frostbite are a constant threat. The only relief is that many of the Wasteland's creatures are in hibernation.

Demarion Tyrell St. Cyr III, or Big D for short. Trained as a mechanic by the Jamaica Defense Forces prior to the Fall, he also has experience flying helicopters, and is more than a little addicted to the act of flying. His chief weapon is also a memento of his own past, a gigantic sword crafted from the broken rotor of the last bird out of the island; together with the great size and immense strength of his Fall-induced mutations, he is a fierce foe indeed.
Since he is one of the Pathfinders, he considers them his friends and allies. He doesn't go out of his way to make friends in other groups, though anyone willing to lay down arms at least temporarily he will consider becoming acquainted with. Except if you're a War Boy.
As mentioned above, Big D has no sympathy or mercy for any of the War Boys, and won't hesitate to meet them with violence no matter who they are. Anyone who gets between him and some good scrap is in for a beating too, but most importantly, those who intervene with his dreams of taking flight once more are dealt with harshly.
Demarion is more or less straight, but he doesn't usually have time or energy for romance or sex. When he does he's usually content to go off with Rosie Palms for a few minutes, and then it's back to whatever else he was doing.
Once he gets accepted, I could see D and my boy Max being tentative friends; he's not the most social, but I imagine D would find his metalworking skills useful in restoring that Chinook to functionality.

Normally I'd say D has a very good idea of what goes where on a heli, but from the sound of things they're going after a tandem-rotor Chinook, and those are a very different beast. Twice the size, twice the guzz, twice the everything.
Max could probably be more useful when it comes to retrofitting weapons systems onto their new bird, for sure. Finding some could be a whole slew of quests and threads in themselves!
